Be You! Never less.

The other evening, something magical happened in our living room.
We were playing a bunch of throwback 90s tracks—some Groove Coverage came on (yes, that one), and suddenly my wife just… danced.

No announcement. No performance. Just her and the music.
She moved like nobody was watching. She was completely in sync with herself—her body followed her spirit.

And the room?
Still.
We stopped breathing for a second. Even the kids. We just watched.

She laughed afterward and said, “That was silly.”
But it wasn’t. It was stunning.

Our kids immediately jumped in, “Mommy, you dance so beautifully. We couldn’t stop watching. We forgot to blink!”

That moment hit me deeper than I expected. Two realizations stuck:

1. People don’t see your insecurities. They see your energy.

You might think you’re awkward, silly, not “perfect.”
But to others, what shines is your presence.

“Your full aliveness. Your you-ness.”

That’s what captivates.

2. Live like you’re dancing when no one’s watching.

Because truth is, no one’s watching as critically as you think they are.

“Your “inner critic” is the only real audience judging you.”

Most of us walk around coded with outdated software—rules that once kept us safe, but now keep us small.

What does this have to do with leadership?

Everything.

Because the most magnetic leaders I know, don’t perform.
They embody.
They show up raw, present and truly themselves.
They don’t filter their brilliance down to match someone else’s comfort level.
They don’t dim their lights.
They lead from the rhythm of who they are.

The world doesn’t need more polished.
It needs more real, more raw.

Ask yourself:

  • Where are you still dimming your light to fit in?
  • What part of you is waiting to dance without explanation?
  • Who could you inspire—just by being more you?

Love,
Laszlo
