We are all fascinating – So why do we keep forgetting it?
Have you ever sat in a meeting, a social gathering, or even a date, and thought: “I don’t really have anything special to say”?
We’ve all been there. Comparing ourselves to others, thinking our stories are too ‘normal’ to matter. But here’s the truth: there’s no such thing as a normal story. Every life holds a universe of insight, transformation, and resilience. We just forget to see it.
Why we forget we’re fascinating
Somewhere along the way, we learn to undervalue our own experiences. Maybe because they weren’t dramatic enough for a movie. Or because no one clapped when we got through something silently difficult. But that’s where our power hides—in the quiet, persistent choices we’ve made. The things we did when no one was watching.
Two stories from my life
1. From wandering to winning
I was an award-winning photographer in landscape and astrophotography. Not because I chased applause, but because I couldn’t stop chasing the feeling of capturing something meaningful. I tried different paths before that—different “genres” of identity—until something clicked.
What did I learn? That stamina is a kind of love. That sticking with something without external praise builds inner strength. That passion is not always loud—it’s persistent. Going for the long haul is not only rewarding but the only key to success!
How this shaped me as a coach: I see past the surface. I know what it’s like to try, fail, restart, and keep going. I help people find their truth even when it feels hidden.
2. When grief became my teacher
At the age of 26, after losing both of my parents within six months, something in me broke—and opened. I left everything and moved to Malta to become a scuba diving instructor. It wasn’t just about the ocean. It was about healing.
I learned to listen to silence. To feel at home in my body again. To breathe. To float. To make small, intentional movements that carry me forward.
How this shaped me as a coach: That experience taught me how to hold space for others—in silence, without rush, without needing to fix. I coach with presence, not pressure.

Your story—yes, the one you think is “normal”—is your hidden gold. Leave some space for yourself to immerse into your answers. Here’s how to turn your stories into your superpower:
Step 1: Reflect
Ask yourself:
What were the top 3 transformation I went through and now it seems “average”?
How have these life changing events shaped me?
What did I learn—not just in my mind, but in my body and soul?
Step 2: Extract the insight
There’s always a core message. Maybe you learned resilience, empathy, stillness, courage, or how to lead through chaos. That’s the gold.
Step 3: Share it boldly
Next time you’re in a meeting or connecting with someone new, share a piece of that story—not for drama, but to show your depth. Stories connect more than facts ever will.
Step 4: Use it in Your work
Whether you’re a coach, entrepreneur, leader, or creator—your story makes your presence unforgettable. It shows not just what you do, but who you are.
